saturday morning

Well I thought I would post a quick one for today. I came to work today because I need to get caught up on some end of month stuff, and am working real hard but I thought I would post this because at John and Lisa's last night our study was on "Who is God"? well I got home and could not get this off my mind and thought I would put it out there to see what everyone thinks. Who is God? Do we really have this answer. I study the bible and believe what this says but is this something we can get our minds around really? This is a really hard question for me and I wonder am I having a faith crisis because I don't know? I have faith God is there for me and I have faith God hears my prayers. Could this be His way of making me think more? well here it is HELP!!!

ladies retreat

Still Sat and I am posting again. Mary has really scared me. (Thanks Mary) any way I wanted to post some pictures from the weekend.

time???

Well since Mary seems to think some of us are not blogging enough I though I would post a quick one. Where has the time gone? This month is moving at hyperspeed. My life is out of control. About the fam: Chris is fine, looking forward to a Damascus Class that is going to be held in March at the blade school in Ark. He is going with Jason Knight and a few other guys from the area. This is the year he needs to test for his JourneySmith stamp so this is going to boost him enough to get that done. WooHoo. Craig is now at Kirkland. We are not sure this is the place he will spend the whole time in or not but it is a start. We have not been able to talk to him yet because he is not allowed contact with family yet. But I beleive the year has started and we should know more soon. Kristen is doing well at school. I called her Thursday after yet another shooting at a college campus. She knows me by now and just said "I am way in another state and no I did not get shot." We are praying for the parents of the students from NIU. I know in my mind that Kristen is not even close but I just needed to hear her and then I was ok. Last weekend was the Ladies Retreat and we went back to Myrtle Beach this year. It was fun and I had a blast. I cried and I laughed and just got to spend quality time with a great group of ladies. I love my family at Summerville and was happy to spend the time with them. I did make Lisa and Amanda go to Burro Loco for lunch on Sunday. (Thanks guys) Then I lost my voice for the whole week. (again a blessing from God.)Friday we started the "Truth Project" from Focus On The Family at John and Lisa's house. More on that later. Well Mary thanks for prompting me. more later.....

Evita

Well I just got back from seeing Evita and I Wish I had taken the time to see the Madona version of the movie. The musical was good but it was confusing because I must of been sleeping during this class in school. I know Argentina is in South America and that there is beef there. Yeah thats about it. I know I should know more than this even after the show but I really don't get it. Was she good or bad? Did she take a bunch of money for herself or was it all for charity? I will have to research this. Any way I have a good time at these shows. I went to Hairspray and Gypsy this season and both of those shows were very entertaining. I am excited about Moving Out (the Billy Joel musical)that is coming in Feb. Anyway this has been a good week so far. I am very busy at work and I did get part of the Christmas Decorations put away. This takes a few days because I do it after work. I am hoping to finish by Sat. (I'll let you know) My Christmas tree motto is: I'll get around to it and eventually I do. I guess thats all for now. more later....

Finally Friday

Well Friday has arrived. This is the probably the longest week of the year. Kristen surprised us on Sunday before church. This was great. She had to leave Thursday to go back to school. We had a good couple of days. Monday she went to Jason's with her dad to shoot. Then we had dinner and then we went to Kohls for a sale. We ended up with about 12 shirts and 1 pair of pants. (all less than $100) I like good sales. Tuesday she washed all of her clothes and got things ready to leave. Wednesday we ate lunch at Moes and then went to church for dinner. Then Kristen left from church with Jenny to spend the night so they could get an early start back to Ark. Our dog does not understand this. Kristen left with us but did not come back. She, the dog, always goes to the door and then comes and looks at us like "where is she" then she will bark and stand at the door. When we let her out she stands on the porch and looks at the road. All night she jumps on the bed and whines. Just what I need. All of the kids leave and I get a co-dependent dog. Chris is ok he just wants to shoot something. It seems like he keeps getting a new gun. (He trades all the time he says.) I know this is true because he does not have any money for guns. I would sell them all and go shopping but he keeps them locked up. (HA HA) This is a good hobby but he needs to get in the shop and make knives. Blade Show is in 6 months. Well I guess I better go. Craig visit

Well we just got back from seeing Craig. He looks good but still wants out. We have decided to not post bond because he goes to his hearing on Jan 24th. He is really not happy about this but I still can't see $1000 for just 19 days. I really do love Craig but I don't see him working enough to pay this back in the short amount of time he is going to be out. I may be suprised and the State may re-instate his probation. (he only has three violations for not reporting) or he could go back to prison and serve his 8-10 months. Whatever the parole board decides, he will have to deal with it. He still has a good attitude right now. well I am off to the Mall more later.....

Happy New Year

Well another year is gone. (soo fast.) Happy New Year to all.We spent the day in Harlyville at Shelly and Jason's. Everyone was there and we had a great time even tho I was late getting there. all of the kids were having a good time. The guys shot and the girls gabbed. the kids played and the babies slept. Dinner was great with all of the food and desserts. Tylee got a puppy and played with it the whole time. The little girls played dress up so I took lots of pictures. The boys played legos and games. everyone seemed to have a good time. GG's cookies were the best. (I only had one) But it was the best. Anyway a new year has begun. Kristen goes back to school on Jan 10th (after not coming home). Craig came home for Thanksgiving but turned himself in and will be staying in St George (on the state) until his hearing Jan 24th. Then we will see how long he will be staying. 2008 has begun!!! Happy New Year!!!! more later.....
